PROCEDURES-FAQS
What is a minimally invasive surgery?
Surgery is often performed as an outpatient through a small incision with reduced bleeding, less scarring therefore less pain, less risk and an early recovery. This endoscopic technique is similar to all modern surgical procedures such as gallbladder removal, gynecological surgeries, brain, heart and joint arthroscopy surgery.
How is the laser used?
The Holmium YAG laser is just one of the instruments used. It is a very safe, cold laser, FDA approved in 1991 for treating disc injuries, very similar to the one used by Ophthalmologists, Plastic Surgeons and Urologists.
